Thursday 7th January
Daily Plan for Thursday 7th January 2021
Please watch the White Rose Learning Video about reading and interpreting tables and have a piece of paper and a pen or pencil to jot down any answers or working out.
Pause the video when you need to do calculations and give yourself plenty of time. Please remember that the answers are always given by the person who is presenting the videos. After you have seen the video work through the two White Rose sheets about reading and interpreting tables. Remember to also show any of your working out. When you have completed these mark your answers using the answer sheet to check your answers.
1. Copy out each of our new spellings for the week neatly, 5 times each, to help you learn the spellings and as a Handwriting activity. The endings are tricky so be careful! Remember how you must join up your letters: suspicious spacious delicious nutritious precious ambitious cautious infectious malicious fictitious
2. Thank you to everyone who has sent in their fantastic Winter Poems. I am so proud of you and will forward them to Mrs Duncombe for her to put on our Class Blog. Please remember to send me your finished poem if you would like me to read it.
3. Continue working through your ‘Talk for Writing’ Booklet that I have uploaded for you – ‘The Ultimate Guide to Elves and Sprites’ by Pie Corbett. Please complete activities 4-6 on pages 6-8.
Please remember to read independently for 40 minutes! For your 30 minute Guided Reading Session work through the Reading Comprehension Questions for the Preface and Chapter One of ‘Street Child’. Remember to find as much evidence from the text when answering the questions.
I have uploaded some Queen Victoria Activity Sheets. Referring back to the slides you read yesterday, please complete sheets 1A and 1B. The answers for the ‘Queen Victoria’s Family Tree’ (worksheet 1A) can be found on the last sheet and are in red so you can check them!
Please use the link below that will take you to a Joe Wicks 20 minute full body workout – no equipment is needed!
