Our art skills that we were developing were firstly to use sketching methods with reference to light and dark and to create different effects and textures.  Lilac Class created their own interpretation of Katsushika Hokusai's 'The Great Wave off Kanagawa' and 'Fuji, Mountains in Clear Weather (Red Fuji)'.  We used soft 'B' drawing pencils, tissue paper, acrylic paints, crepe paper and different types of coloured paper with various thickness.
