In Lilac Class we worked in pairs when we tested our materials to find out whether they were electrical conductors or electrical insulators.  If the bulb in our circuit lit up then the material was an electrical conductor.  Using magnets, we also tested the materials to see if they were magnetic.  Aluminium and foil were the only electrical conductors that we tested that were not magnetic.
