*REMEMBER YOUR CHALLENGE AND TO DIP INTO YOUR ‘MY FAMOUS VICTORIAN’ PROJECT.  Thank you to all of you who have so far sent in project work. I have learnt so much!  Please remember to send me any work that you do not have answer sheets for.  I would particularly like to see RE, Science predictions and evaluations and any independent writing that you have done.  Thank you.

MORNING

1. Maths

Please work through the White Rose Learning Videos using the links vimeo.com/488075946 and vimeo.com/488076765 called Multiply 2-digits by 2-digits (area model) – First Part Worksheet and Second Part Worksheet.  I have uploaded the worksheet to accompany the two learning videos. Please have a piece of paper and a pen or pencil to jot down your answers and working out.  Remember to pause the videos when you need to do calculations and give yourself plenty of time.  If you feel very confident I have also uploaded Maths Mastery questions and answers about multiplying 2-digits by 2-digits using the area model.

1. If you have not written your poem in your best writing yet and illustrated it please send it to me for our class book.

2.  In preparation for our live English Google Meet session tomorrow morning at 11.15 I would like to read through the material I have sent you from the book ‘You Wouldn’t Want to Be a Victorian Schoolchild’ by John Malam.  Please jot down on a piece of paper any facts you find particularly interesting. 

3.For your ‘Talk for Writing’ activity please complete page 21 ‘Wonderful Wizard Potions’.  Write your own potion poem.  Please work through pages 21-23 and follow the step by step guidelines.

AFTERNOON

4.  Reading

Please remember to read independently for 40 minutes!  When you log onto Purple Mash you will see that I have given you an e-book to read ‘Ollie and the Great Stink’.  I have now given you Chapters 1-5 to read.

For your 30 minute Guided Reading Session I would like you to read Chapters 12 and 13 with your grown up as a paired reading activity.  Take turns and talk about any tricky words that you find and what you think they may mean, looking carefully at the sentence they are in.  

5.PE

6.  Topic

Our lesson today will be a live Google Meet session at 2.15.  In preparation, please look carefully at the power point slides I have uploaded for you of photos of different Victorian children.
