Term 2 Week 7

Chestnut Class learning for term 2 week 7

It’s the final week!  Well done to Chestnut Class for working so hard this term.  You have adapted to the new circumstances and challenged yourselves to keep on moving forward in your learning!

Now we have finished our ‘Journey’ stories, we will carry out a final editing session before we create our books.  This will involve us checking we have followed our story plans and included the appropriate writing features such as rich description, accurate punctuation and spelling, fronted adverbial and ‘show not tell’.

We will revise the spelling and grammar we have covered so far this year with quizzes and fun activities.

Similarly, we will be carrying out our maths learning through escape room challenges, roll and draw and the ever popular Monster Maths times tables.

In RE we will finish off our unit on incarnation by designing Christmas cards that reflect the contrasting approaches of Luke and John.  This will demonstrate our understanding of incarnation and the Trinity.

We are looking forward to finishing off our Christmas decorations, so be prepared to welcome some festive bling into your homes at some point this week!

We have Christmas jumper day and Christmas lunch to look forward to on Wednesday and please note that we still have PE planned for Friday morning so PE kits need to be worn to school.
