In English, we are continuing with our unit based on the Anglo-Saxon epic poem Beowulf.  This week, we will be writing our own ‘show not tell’ sentences to practise the technique.  We will also be thinking about how tension builds up in the narrative and how we can use various techniques to create tension in our own writing.

In Maths we will continue our unit on fractions with a focus on adding and subtracting fractions from whole and mixed numbers.

In guided reading we will be continuing our new text, Varjak Paw by SF Said.  It is a mysterious tale set around a family of Mesopotamian Blue cats……
