Spelling and writing

This week we have been working on words with the ‘s’ sound written as ‘sc’.  Please practise the spelling words by writing them out 10 times each:

science	scene
abscess	scissors
ascend	descend
scented	crescent

 

Next, please write a sentence for each word to demonstrate your understanding.  I would like your sentences to contain a conjunction so you have more than one clause.    Here is a list of useful conjunctions:

When  before  while  so  because  since  where  unless  until  once  if

For example:

I lit a scented candle because I was trying to disguise the smell of burnt food!
