Good morning Chestnut Class!
Live English session – Please join me live at 9.15 for a live lesson on the poem The Cuckoo by Ted Hughes. Please have your copy of the poem and/or paper and pencil ready! We will be exploring the vocabulary of the poem and I will be setting you a short task at the end of the session.
Reading for 30 minutes. You can do this in shorter chunks if you wish. Please note down what you have read in your yellow reading record.
Spellings - You have a ‘look, say, cover, write’ activity to practise the suffixes we worked on in Monday’s session.
Maths – Today we will be recapping the 3 times table. I have attached the question sheet, along with the answers. Please watch the teaching video first:

Maths fluency – I have set you an activity on Purple Mash to practise the 4 times table.
Art – Please create a ‘best piece’ self-portrait using the grid method that you learned about on Monday. Feel free to use any medium you would like – pencil, coloured pencil, paint, pastels…… whatever you have to hand! I would love to see your portraits!
