Here is your learning for Thursday 28th January 2021

Term 3 Week 4

Thursday 28th January 2021

Good morning Chestnut Class!

Reading for 30 minutes.  You can do this in shorter chunks if you wish.  Please note down what you have read in your yellow reading record.

Please let me know what you are reading at the moment.  I have just finished a book I got for Christmas and now I am reading National Velvet by Enid Bagnold.  It is an old favourite of mine.

Grammar – This is our last on using apostrophes for possession and contraction.  I have reattached the powerpoint from Tuesday in case you need a refresher.  There is also a set of sheets, plus answers.  As usual, you only need complete one of the sheets in the set, but I can only attach them this way.

Whole class reader –  Today I would like you to mark your Iron Man comprehension and have attached a guide to doing this.  It was such a dramatic chapter and I can’t wait for us to read the final one next week.

English – Today we have a live story session at 11am where I will be continuing to read The Midnight Guardians by Ross Montgomery.

Maths – Today we will be dividing by 10.  Here is the link to the teaching video:

The question and answer sheets are attached to this blog post.

Maths fluency – Today I have set a 7, 8 and 9 times tables activity on MyMaths

Computing – We are moving on to top row keys in typing.  I have set 3 activities on Purple Mash.  If you do not have a keyboard, please choose another activity from the Computing Section!

Have a lovely day,

Mrs Barter
