English - We are going to start the week by finishing planning our recounts in the perspective of Rhodopis. We will add descriptive sentences to our story maps, choosing interesting and varied language. We will then continue to add to the introduction paragraph we have already written. At the end of the week we will look at nouns and how to use correctly. 

Reading - We are going to start our new book this week 'Flat Stanley - The Great Egyptian Grave Robbery' by Jeff Brown. This involves reading together as a class and with our partner. It also involves questions and showing deeper understanding about what they have read.  

Maths - This is our final week on 'fractions'. We will be looking at comparing and ordering fractions with the same denominator and using these skills when problem-solving. We will also look at adding and subtracting fraction with the same denominator, using smarties to help us. 

Home Learning 

Reading books - These will be changed on Monday and Thursday. 

Online - Please have a look at your child's MyMaths account. An activity has been set on fraction calculations. 

In books - Spellings have been added that will be tested on 24th May.
