Using Diagrams to Solve Multiplication Problems

Sometimes you might be asked to solve a multiplication question involving numbers in which you are not yet able to count up in: 3s for example.

If you do not yet have the counting skills to solve the problem then try drawing a picture. Think about the amount of groups. Think about how many there are in each group. Draw a picture. Then, simple count up all the dots you have drawn to find out your total amount.

Can you use this technique to solve any of the problems on this worksheet?
