In English and Communication this week, we are focusing on creating pieces of instruction writing. We are going to take the simple instructions we created last week and use conjunctions to add additional clauses to them. We are then going to explore how the organisational features of instruction writing can be used to create a completed piece of writing. 

In Phonics, we are using 'el' to make the /l/ sound. For example, camel, travel, towel, chisel. Our grammar focus for the week is using commas in lists. 

In Maths, we will continue to focus on money. We will start by finding different ways to make the same amount. We will then explore how to compare amounts of money. 

In Science and Computing, we are going to start exploring how to programme floor robots. 

In Time and Place, we are going to place the era of Knights and Castles into chronological context. 

In Design and the Arts, we are going to continue to develop our block printing skills and begin designing our own repeating patterns.
