This Week's Learning

Term 4 Week 2

In English and Communication this week, we are going to create character descriptions for the dragon in our class quest. We will use and apply all of the skills that we over the last two weeks to create these character descriptions.

In Phonics, we will be focusing on 'ture' making the /chure/ sound. Our grammar focus will be on creating questions, commands, statements and exclamation sentences. The tricky words we will be spelling this week are 'delicious' and 'fruit'.

In Guided Reading, we will be answering comprehension questions relating to In to the Woods by Anthony Browne.

In Maths, we will finish out work on multiplication and division by focusing on choosing efficient methods to complete multiplication and division problems. Then, we will turn our attention to measuring length and height.

In Science and Computing, we will use and apply the learning from last week about dissolving to complete a scientific investigation based around events from our class quest.

In Time and Place, we will compare and contrast different types of castles and attempt to use skills of historical enquiry to put castles into chronological order.

We will also be completing PE, RE, Number Fluency and Design and the Arts activities. If you have any questions about these activities or anything relating to your child's learning, please do not hesitate to contact us via the class email address.
