Term 4 Week 6

Here is an overview of our learning activities for week commencing 28th March 2022.

We will be continuing our work on Traction Man. This week the children will plan and start to write their own Traction Man story. We will be completing a story plan on Monday and Tuesday before moving on to write the start of the story.

In our Phonics lessons this week we will be recapping the ‘ew’, ‘ue’ and ’u-e’ sounds. We will also be assessing which other phonemes the children can remember to help us plan for next term.

In Maths we will be learning about measuring capacity. This week we will be learning some of the maths vocabulary linked to capacity, measuring the capacity of containers and comparing the capacity of containers.

In RE this week we will be reflecting on our key question “Why does Easter matter to Christians?” and will be thinking and talking about the themes of sadness, hope and heaven in relation to the Easter story.

In our Science work we will be continuing to complete our weather charts and thinking about how the weather and the length of the day affects us in our clothing and activity choices. In our Art lesson we will mix primary colour paints to see what other colours, tints and shades we can make.
