Term 4 Week 4

Here is an overview of our learning activities for week commencing 14th March 2022.

We will be continuing to work on our Traction Man story and will start to write the opening to our story in our English work. We will use adjectives to create descriptive sentences to add interest to the story.

In our Phonics lessons we will be learning tricky words: called, looked, asked, there and their. We will also revisit ways of making the ee sounds for words like sea, happy, chief and these.

In Maths we will be continuing to learn about measuring length. This week we will be using centimetres on to measure objects. We will also be learning about how long a metre is and added and subtracting lengths.

In RE this week we will be thinking about ways in which Christians show their beliefs about Jesus’ death and resurrection in their worship at Easter Time.

In our Science work we will be starting to complete a weather graph and will be talking about the different types of weather we associate with each season. In our Art lesson we will be looking at pictures painted by Alma Thomas and will use her technique of blocks of paint to create our own artwork.
