Term 3 Week 4

Here is an overview of our learning activities for week commencing 31st January 2022.

In our Phonics lessons this week we will be learning about ways to make the ‘igh’ sound (ie, i-e, y) and ‘oi’ (oy) sound. In English, we will be writing a non-chronological report about African animals, which will include a title, introduction, subheadings and facts about the animals.

In Maths we will start the week by continuing our work on addition using numbers up to 20. We will then move on to subtracting without crossing 10.

In our Time and Place lessons we will be learning about Mary Seacole. We will be thinking about the hardships that Mary Seacole faced and discussing the similarities and differences between medical care in the 19th Century and today.

In RE we will be talking about ways in which Christians put their beliefs about helping people into action.

In PE we will be adding to our dance routines and developing our throwing and catching skills in team games.
