Home Learning Day 3 for Lilac Class 3.12.25
Home Learning Day 3
Hello again Lilac Class!
Today I would like you to complete the following activities:
- Please finish all your work from yesterday. There was a lot there. Below is a reminder of what I set you for English:
I would like you to write a non-chronological report with the title The life of an ordinary Mayan. I have attached lots of information for you to read. Only write about the key areas that you are interested in and give each category that you choose to write about a subheading. Examples of categories could be The Home, Mayan Clothes, Women, Children, Food and Farming and Crafts. You can illustrate your non-chronological report with illustrations and captions (a brief piece of information about your picture).
The next thing I would like you to complete is the reading comprehension sheet ‘The History of chocolate’. Read the text and then answer the questions. The answers are also provided.
- I have set you some more revision on fractions and have attached a worksheet and an answer sheet entitled ‘Convert improper fractions to mixed numbers.’ Remember, only do what you can. I am not expecting everyone to have completed both sheets.
- Please carefully read the Friction Fact File sheet and then write down 10 key facts that you have learnt about friction. This will prepare you for our next investigation we are doing as part of our Forces Science topic. You can draw and label examples of friction that are on the sheet.
- Finally, please can you learn the lyrics from memory to ‘I can see clearly now’ by Johnny Nash. This is going to be our individual item for the Tunbridge Wells Singing Festival.
See you soon,
Dr Charles
