Term 6 Week 4

Here is an outline of your learning for term 6, week 4:
Term 6 Week 4 – overview
We have our ukulele lesson with Mr Lawrence as usual this week.
Spelling and grammar – we will be working on spellings from the year 3 and 4 statutory list.
This week I will be going on the Year 6 residential and will be out of class on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Mr Mackinnon will be teaching Chestnut Class and has worked on a really exciting project to complete with them!
In English on Monday and Tuesday we will be working on poetry inspired by animal habitats. This links to our science topic. We will be using Inner Peace by Amy Wolstenholme as the basis for this.
In RE, we will be continuing to explore what it is like being a Hindu in Britain today. We will be learning about worship at home and in the Mandir.
Reading records will be sent home, with free-reading children choosing a book from the selection in class or bringing one from the reading scheme. All children have an additional book in their tray for reading sessions in class. Please could we have reading records in school to be checked on Tuesday and Friday mornings.
