Term 6 Final Week

Here is an outline of the final week of the school year:

Term 6 Final week – overview

On Monday morning we will be moving around to meet new teachers.  

Spelling and grammar – we will be reviewing the year 3 and 4 spelling words.

We have some special events on this week.  On Monday, we will be watching the Year 6 production.  Wednesday afternoon is leavers’ mass in church.  We will finish the school year with the Year 6 assembly.

In history, we are completing our Anglo-Saxon unit by examining the evidence found at Sutton Hoo and thinking about who could have been buried there.

In RE, we will be learning about how Hindus celebrate Holi and Raksha Bandan.

Reading records will be sent home, with free-reading children choosing a book from the selection in class or bringing one from the reading scheme.  All children have an additional book in their tray for reading sessions in class.  Please could we have reading records in school to be checked on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
