Welcome to Maple Class and I hope you have all had an enjoyable summer.

I am so impressed with how quickly the children have begun to settle into their new classroom! There are lots of new routines to learn and lots of new ways of doing things, but they have all embraced this and I am very proud of them all.

What a busy couple of days we have had!

In English this week, we have already started to read ‘Something Else’ by Kathryn Cave and predicting what the book might be about.  This is a simple story, about a small creature who does his best to join in with the others. But he's different. No matter how he tries, he just doesn't belong. Then Something turns up and wants to be friends. But Something Else isn't sure he's like him at all...

In Maths, we have revisited journalling and started the year 3 work already too!

During PE, we got to grips with a new game and started to think about how PE will look in year 3.
