Home Learning tasks for Thursday 4th December 2025

1. Free writing. Use the picture to inspire your writing. The questions below might help you get started, but you could also write a story. Write for 10 minutes!

• What is the boy doing? What is he thinking?
• Do you know any stories about superheroes? Which is your favourite? Why?
• What does it take to be a hero?
• What could you do to become more like a superhero in your everyday life?

2. Use the attached slides to read information about Mary Anning, a pioneering palaeontologist, or research her life online. There is also a muddled-up events sheet attached. Can you put these events in order?
3. Complete the attached maths sheet, to practice the addition steps we have been learning in class. You could draw a place value chart and/or the formal written method.
4. Practice your multiplication facts/times tables.
5. Complete any work from Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
6. Look at the attached fossil pictures, and draw a detailed picture of your favourite one. Include hatching and cross-hatching.
