In English and Communication this week, we are completing our pieces of instruction writing from last week. We will then use these skills to create another piece of instruction writing. 

In Phonics, we are using 'al' and 'il' to make the/l/ sound. Our tricky words are 'busy' and 'clothes'. Our grammar focus is to use capital letters at the start of place names. 

In Maths, we are going to start learning about money. We will begin by identifying the value of coins and notes and calculating the total of pounds and pence. 

In Time and Place we are going to develop our understanding of Human and Physical characteristics. We are then going to use this understanding to design an island as the setting for our class quest. 

In Science and Computing, we are going to use our programming skills to create and test algorithms for floor robots. 

We will also be completing PE, Design and the Arts, Guided reading, PHSCE, RE and Mastering Number sessions as well.
