In English this week, we are going to focus on the wordless book ‘Journey’ by Aaron Becker. We will be using nouns (naming words) and adjectives (describing words) to describe a scene from the story. 

In Maths, we will continue to focus on the numbers 0 to 10. This week we will be finding one less than numbers up to 10 and we will also be learning about the maths vocabulary fewer/less than (<), more/more than (>) and same/equal to (=).

In RE, we will be discussing the story of the Lost Son and sequencing the story.

In Art, we will be starting to create our own self-portraits.

Willow Class has PE on Tuesday afternoon and Thursday morning. The children will be continuing to develop their ball skills in team games.

On Wednesday, Willow Class will be visiting Lynne’s Organic Farm near Crowborough to learn about how fruit and vegetables grow and to talk to Farmer Jeremy about what it is like to live on a farm. The children can wear their own clothes but need to wear welly boots and bring a packed lunch (if they have not ordered one from school). We will be outside all day, so it is important the children wear warm clothes and a waterproof coat.
