Term 3 Week 6

Here is an overview of our learning activities for the week commencing 9th February 2026.

In Phonics, we will be learning to read and write words containing the ‘ow’ digraph (such as slow, own and window) and the ‘oe’ digraph (such as toe, doe and goes), which both make an ‘oa’ sound in some words. We will also be reading the words ‘once’ and ‘please’ and writing the words ‘thought’ and ‘through’.

In English, we will be writing a fact file about mammals. We will also be working with The Drama Geezers on Thursday morning to do some activities around a textile theme.

In Maths, we will be learning about number bonds for 20, doubling and finding near doubles. This week we will also be subtracting ones using number bonds.

As part of our Science work, we will be observing changes in the weather across the week and recording our findings on a weather chart.
