Here is an overview of our learning activities for the week commencing 15th September 2025.

This week in Phonics we will be learning to read and write words containing adjacent consonants such as ‘crabs’, ‘crisp’ and ‘stamp’. We will also be reading the words ‘were’, ‘there’, ‘little’ and ‘one’ and writing the words ‘they’, ‘are’ and ‘all’.

In English, we will be writing simple sentences including verbs (doing words) such as jump, run and swim.

In Maths, we will continue to focus on the numbers zero to ten. This week we will be reading number words, counting forwards from any number and finding one more than a given number.

In RE, we will be listening to the story of the Lost Son and will be retelling the story using picture cards.

In PE, the children will continue to develop their ball control skills ready to play team games.

In our Computing lesson we will be continuing to learn about the technology around us, including what parts of a computer are called.

In Science, we will be finding and sorting different everyday materials into groups, such as plastic, metal, paper and wood.
