Good morning Chestnut Class!

Reading for 30 minutes.  You can do this in shorter chunks if you wish.  Please note down what you have read in your yellow reading record.  

Spellings – Please visit this site: Word list activities: -suffix-ing, ed and er 

Read through the word list and the definitions.  Practise these spellings by writing them out as pyramid words and then test yourself with this quiz:

English – Goblinology page 25.  Read all the slime recipes and see if you can identify bossy verbs and time adverbials that help a reader follow a set of instructions.  Then, if you have the ingredients, why not make one of the slime recipes?

Maths fluency – Today I have set a game on Purple Mash -  3 times tables pairs

Art - Mrs Smallcombe has kindly made you a powerpoint to introduce the grid method.  This should help you translate an image so you can copy it more accurately.  Watch out for the 2 images she has put in the powerpoint!!! 

This session is for you to practise and later in the week I will be asking you to create a ‘best version’ of your self portrait.
