Term 4 Week 6

Here is an overview of our learning activities for week commencing 27th March 2023.

In English, we will be continuing to write our Traction Man story. This week we will be writing the middle of our Traction Man adventure.  

In our Phonics lessons, we will be learning about words containing the 'ph' digraph such as ‘dolphin’ and ‘phone’. We will also be reading the words ‘Wednesday’ and ‘brother’ and writing the words ‘because’ and ‘different’.

In Maths, we will be learning about volume and capacity. This week we will be discussing the vocabulary ‘full’ and ‘empty’, measuring the capacity of different containers and comparing the capacity of the containers.

On Thursday we will be making Easter bonnets with Mrs Hawker. In our Time and Place work we will be discussing the similarities and differences between what life was like when Christopher Columbus and Neil Armstrong were alive. In Computing, the children will be consolidating their ability to select text using the cursor, through double-clicking and clicking and dragging. They will be asked to explain what tool from the toolbar they have used to change their writing.
