Term 4 Week 5

Here is an overview of our learning activities for week commencing 20th March 2023.

In English, we will be continuing to work on our Traction Man story. This week we will be writing the start of our Traction Man adventure.

In our Phonics lessons we will be learning about words where ‘c’ makes a ‘s’ sound such as pencil and where ‘g’ makes a ‘j’ sound such as gem. We will also be reading the words ‘Monday’ and ‘Tuesday’ and writing the words ‘many’ and ‘laughed’.

In Maths, we will be learning about measuring mass. This week we will be discussing the vocabulary ‘heavier and ‘lighter’, using cubes to find the mass of objects and comparing the mass of objects.

In RE this week we will be continuing to think of ways in which Christians show their beliefs about Jesus’ death and resurrection in their worship at Easter Time. We will also start to reflect on our big question of why we think Easter is important to Christians and will think about what the story of Easter means to us in terms of sadness, hope or heaven.

In our Science work we will be talking about the change we have noticed in the local area with the arrival of spring. In our Time and Place work we will be learning about Neil Armstrong.
