Here is an overview of our learning activities for week commencing 28th November 2022.

This week in Phonics we will be learning about the ‘i-e’ split digraph, in words like and bite, and the ‘o-e’ split digraph, in words smoke and hope. We will also be learning to read the words ‘people’ and ‘looked’ and to spell the words ‘do’ and ‘when’.

In Maths, we will be learning to recognise and name 2D and 3D shapes. We will also be doing some number fluency work on number bonds for 10.

In RE, the class will be talking about what we are personally thankful for at Christmas time. We will also be thinking about our key question of the term: Why does Christmas matter to Christians?

In Art, we will be looking at some more pictures of Antony Gormley’s sculptures and using these as inspiration of our own models of people.

We will also be rehearsing for the KS1 nativity 'Baarmy Bethlehem'. We are looking for to performing our play to parents on 7th and 8th December at 2pm. Please could all costumes be in school by 30th November.
