Term 2 Week 3

Here is an overview of our learning activities for week commencing 14th November 2022.

This week in Phonics we will be learning about words with the ‘ea’ digraph in them (such as sea, bead, treat and heap). We will also be learning to read the words ‘Mr’ and ‘Mrs’ and to spell the words ‘were’ and ‘there’.

In Maths we will be learning about the subtraction symbol and will be focussing on different ways to subtract (taking away/crossing out and find a part). We will also be investigating number fact families.

In English we will be continuing our work on instruction writing and this week we will be writing instructions for planting a bulb.

In our RE lesson, we will be starting to talk about why Jesus’ birth is important to Christians and how the story of Jesus’ life is retold in the Gospels in the Bible.

Willow class have PE on Wednesday morning and Thursday morning. Please make sure your child has their full PE kit in school on those days.

On Friday morning we will be going to see a screening of The Croods 2 at Trinity Theatre. The children will need to have a packed lunch on Friday as we will not be back until after midday.

If you have any questions or need help with anything please contact us using the class email address (willow@st-barnabas.kent.sch.uk).
