Term 5 Week 6

Here is an overview of our learning activities for week commencing 23rd May 2022.

This week in phonics we will be continuing to learn about the alternative sounds for c (mice) and g (gem). We will also be revisiting split digraphs (a-e, i-e and o-e).

In English, we will be continuing to use the story ‘The Great Explorer’ by Chris Judge to write diary entries. In Maths, we will be consolidating this term’s learning on fractions, multiplication and division. As part of our Maths fluency work we will be adding groups of objects together and recalling doubles.

In RE, we will be learning about Hinduism and some of its traditions. This week we will also be learning about the story of Rama and Sita. As part of our Time and Place work, we will be talking about the 5 oceans of the world and will label them on a map. In PE on Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning, we will be continuing to develop our athletic skills. In Art, we will start to create a collage in the style of Beatriz Milhazes and will be finishing our moonlight pictures.
