In Phonics we will be learning about the ‘er’ and ‘est’ suffixes and will practise reading and writing words with them in and will try to spot extra words with these suffixes. In English we will also be practising these suffixes. As part of our activities we will be using the story ‘I am the Happiest’ by Anna Shuttlewood and will be comparing animals and their size (tall, taller, tallest) and qualities (happy, happier, happiest).

In Maths we will be learning about doubling numbers. We will then learn about grouping objects and sharing objects into equal groups. As part of our Maths fluency work we will be looking at the tens and ones in numbers between 11 and 15.

In RE we will be continuing to learn about Judaism. This week we will learn about the story of David and Goliath and what the story teaches Jewish people about God. As part of Science work we will be identifying some common plants and trees. In our Time and Place lesson we will be learning about the United Kingdom and identifying its 4 countries on a map. Willow class will still have PE on Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning. We will be continuing to develop our athletic skills this week.
