Term 6 Week 3

In the week beginning 28^th June, Year 2 pupils will complete their end of Key Stage 1 SATs. While these assessments are not being administered across the country as they would be under normal circumstances, we have decided that we are still going to administer them in Year 2 this year.

Therefore, we will spend some time this week ensuring that pupils are familiar with the test papers so they know exactly what to expect next week.

In English this week, we are going to complete one final piece of narrative writing. We are going to create a storyboard and a shared piece of writing. Next, pupils will use all the narrative writing skills we have focussed on this term to create their own piece of narrative writing. In Maths, we will complete our final preparations for our Year 2 SATs. We will focus on solving division and fractions problems in both arithmetic and reasoning contexts.

In Science, we will turn our attention towards green plants. We will learn to name the different parts of plants and explore what plants need to grow successfully.

We will also complete R.E, P.E, and Design and Art activities.
