Thursday 28th January

Reading-

Remember to read at home for at least 20 minutes today. Please also tune into Beech Story Time at 9:45. This week we are going to explore how to use the Oxford Owl Resources to select a book. Then we are going to share a book together. We sent the link on Friday. However, if you need the link send again, please just ask.

Writing-

Today we are going to turn the direct speech plan that you created yesterday into a comic. First watch Mr M’s video in which he models how this can be done.

https://youtu.be/3ytF7939s5Y

First, print out or make your own background. If you want to add extra detail, make a representation of Samuel Pepys house and add it to your background. Next print out or draw the characters involved in your conversation and stick on the background. Finally, add the speech bubbles and the sound bubbles that you created yesterday.

Maths-

Watch the learning video up to 3:54. Now try questions 1, 2 and 3 on the worksheet.

Spr2.3.4 - Make equal groups - grouping on Vimeo

Now watch the rest of the learning video and have a go at questions 4 and 5. If you find these a little bit trick, don’t worry! We are going to work to develop our understanding of division by grouping in tomorrow’s lesson.

Number Fluency-

We have added these MyMaths and PurpleMash activities to compete designed to help practise your 10 times tables.
