In English and Communication this week, we are focusing on adding extra detail to the simple sentences we created last week for our Samuel Pepys recount. We will start by using adverbial phrases at the start of sentences. Then, we will explore how to add sentences which show and tell the audience how Samuel Pepys felt upon the night of the great Fire. 

In Phonics, we will continue to revisit and use our Level 5 sounds. We will also begin learning our Level 5 tricky words. 

In Maths, we will compare amounts of objects, compare numbers and then focus on ordering objects and numbers. If you would like to practise some of these skills at home, please see the separate Maths blog post for this week. 

In Science and Computing, we will start to explore materials and material properties. We will also consider some rules and guidelines for how to use IT safely. 

We will also complete Mastering Number, Guided Reading, PE and Design and the Arts lessons as well.
