This week in Phonics we will be learning about the ‘ay’ digraph, in words such as play and day. We will also be reading the words ‘could’ and ‘should’ and writing the words ‘said’ and ‘go’.

In English, we will be writing simple sentences including verbs (doing words) such as jump, run and swim.

In Maths, we will continue to focus on the numbers zero to ten. This week we will be reading number words, counting forwards from any number and finding one more than a given number.

In RE, we will be listening to the story of the Lost Son and will be retelling the story.

In our Computing lesson we will be continuing to learn about the technology around us, including what parts of a computer are called.

In our Science work, we will be talking about the properties of different everyday materials.

Willow Class has PE on Tuesday afternoon and Thursday morning. The children will be continuing to develop their ball skills. Please make sure your child has their PE kit in school on these days.
