Term 6 Week 7

Here is an overview of our learning activities for the week commencing 13th July 2026.

In our phonics lessons we will be learning about words containing the ‘un’ suffix, such as unfair, unjust and uncaring. We will also be reading the words ‘talk’ and ‘two’ and writing the words ‘beautiful’ and ‘treasure’.

In Maths, we will be revisiting the number bonds for 10.

In our Time and Place work we will be writing a fact file about Australia.

In Computing, we will be running the programs for Scratch Jnr that we designed last week and evaluating their success.

In RE, we will be talking about some of the stories that we have learnt about this year and will be writing about our favourite story.

On Monday morning, we will be watching the dress rehearsal for the Year 6 play.  On Wednesday afternoon, we will be going to St Barnabas Church for the Year 6 Leavers Mass.

Please send a large plastic bag into school with your child so that we can send home their work from this year. We would also be grateful if all reading books could be returned to school as soon as possible. We will not be issuing new reading books this year.

If you have any questions or need help with anything, please contact us using the class email address (willow@st-barnabas.kent.sch.uk).
