Here is an outline of your learning for term 6, week 6:
Term 6 Week 6 – overview
This week, we have our swimming lessons in the afternoon!
We have our final ukulele lesson on Monday afternoon with Mr Lawrence.
Spelling and grammar – we will be revising the rest of the year 3 d 4 spelling list words
In Maths, we will continue working decimals, dividing a 2-digit number by 10, learning about hundredths as decimals, hundredths on a place value chart, dividing 1 or 2-digit number by 100 and making a whole with tenths.
In RE we will be working on our unit on what it means to be a Hindu today. We will be learning about the duties of each age phase and what the story of Rama and Sita tells Hindus about dharma and karma.
In History, we will be learning about who King Alfred was and returning to Sutton Hoo to assess the evidence provided by the artefacts discovered there.
Reading records will be sent home, with free-reading children choosing a book from the selection in class or bringing one from the reading scheme. All children have an additional book in their tray for reading sessions in class. Please could we have reading records in school to be checked on Tuesday and Friday mornings.
