This week in Maple Class:

Whole Class Reading: This week we will be looking at the life of Grace Darling, using a non-fiction text. The children will share the text, answering a variety of questions relating to inference, retrieval and vocabulary.

Maths: We will continue the fractions unit, consolidating what we have learnt so far and then moving on to further exploring fractions of a whole.

Art: we are looking at hieroglyphics!

Science and Computing will continue as normal. Mrs Duncombe will be leading the science unit, all about flowering plants.

Time and Place: we are continuing our Ancient Egypt topic work, this week looking further at some of the key achievements and inventions from this era.

RE: In RE, we are discussing the Kingdom of God, and consolidating our learning for this unit.

PE: This week PE will be as normal on Wednesday and Friday. Please send your child in with a hat and water bottle. 

Homework will be on Tuesday as normal, and is due back Monday 29th June. Please note, it is not necessary to complete all the quizzes on Purple Mash! (Please choose one of the options).
