In Maple Class this week:

Whole Class Reading: this week we will be reading a non-fiction text about Katherine Johnson, a trailblazing American mathematician and "human computer" for NASA. We will discuss the vocabulary and content, with the children working as a whole class and in small groups, to retrieve information and make inferences.

Maths: we are continuing with fractions this week, further looking at fractions on a number line.

English: we will read more of the book, The Egyptian Cinderella, whilst also investigating Aesop’s fables and writing our own fables.

Art: we are continuing to make our puppets.

Science and Computing will continue as normal. Mrs Duncombe will be leading the science unit, all about flowering plants.

Homework will be on Tuesday as normal, and is due back Monday 15th June. Please note, it is not necessary to complete all the quizzes on Purple Mash! Please choose one of the options.
