Term 5 Week 4

Here is an overview of our learning activities for the week commencing 11th May 2026.
In our Phonics lessons, we will be revisiting some of the letter sounds that we have learnt and will be reading real and nonsense words to prepare for the phonics screening check in June.
In English, we will be continuing to use the story ‘The Great Explorer’ by Chris Judge as the basis for our work. This week we will be refining our sentence structures by making sure our sentences are correctly punctuated with capital letters, full stops, commas and apostrophes.
In Maths, we will be recognising and finding half of an object and recognising and finding half of a quantity.
This week in RE, we will be learning about the Islamic story of the Crying Camel.
In our Time and Place work, we will be learning about the 5 oceans of the world.
In Computing, we will be continuing to edit text on the computer and using different fonts and text sizes.
Willow class has PE on Tuesday afternoon and Friday morning. Please make sure that your child has their PE kit in school for these lessons.
