Term 4 Week 6

Here is an overview of our learning activities for the week commencing 30th March 2026.

In our Phonics lessons, we will be learning about words containing the ‘ed’ suffix, such as ‘jumped’, ‘looked’ and ‘gasped’. We will also be learning to read the words ‘April’ and ‘July’ and to write the words ‘please’ and ‘once’.

In English, we will be continuing to write our Traction Man story. This week we will be writing in the past tense to link in with our phonics work.

In Maths, we will be learning about volume and capacity. This week we will be discussing the vocabulary ‘full’ and ‘empty’, measuring the capacity of different containers and comparing the capacity of the containers.

On Wednesday morning, we will be taking part in the school's sponsored walk and solving clues to find different locations.

In Art, we will be finishing off our wave paintings. Willow Class will have PE on Tuesday afternoon and Thursday morning, so please make sure your child’s PE kit is in school.

If you have any questions or need help with anything, please contact us using the class email address (willow@st-barnabas.kent.sch.uk).
