Term 4, week 5

What an amazing week we had last week!

The children worked so hard during the rehearsals and then gave a wonderful performance. For those parents and carers who came to watch, I hope you enjoyed the show as much as we did!

In Maple Class this week:

Maths: we are continuing with the multiplication and division unit, linking multiplication and division and looking at flexible partitioning.

English: we are still using the book, King of the Sky, as our focus text, but this week we will be comparing the story to the King of Rome, a song about a pigeon race.

Time and Place: continuing our UK project, we will be looking at the difference between a town and a city, and a hill and a mountain!

Art: we will be revisiting our portraits this week, adding colour with our choice of medium.

PE: looking at elements of fitness, we will be discovering fun ways we can keep fit and play games.

RE: continuing with the Salvation unit, this week we will investigate the sequence of events on Easter Sunday.

In addition, the class will have Science and Computing with Mrs Banner.

Homework will be as usual on Tuesday, due back the following Monday.

If you have any questions this week, or at any point in the year, please email the class email: maple@st-barnabas.kent.sch.uk. For any urgent messages, please email the main office email.

Kind regards

Mrs Smallcombe and the Maple Team
