This Week's Learning

Term 4 Week 3
In English and Communication this week, we are returning our attention to describing the dragon in our class quest. We are going to use the words and phrases collected during our guided reading sessions last week to create some wonderful dragon descriptions.
In Phonics, we will focus on using 'al' to make the /or/ sound. Our tricky words are 'pretty' and 'neighbour'. Our grammar focus is using the and/so/but conjunctions to create compound sentences.
In Maths, we will continue to focus on Multiplication and Division. We will develop a firm understanding of arrays before focusing our attention on using the concept of grouping to solve multiplication and division problems.
In Science, we will begin by revisiting the concepts of alive, dead and never alive. We will then learn about the names and functions of different parts of plants.
In Time and Place, we will use the ideas that we used last week in our class debate to create a piece of persuasive writing focusing on who should be the next king of England in 1066.
We will also complete PE, Design and the Arts, PHSCE, Guided Reading, Mastering Number and RE sessions as well.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us directly using the class email address.
