Next week we will be writing a recipe for a fruit salad.

We would like you to discuss at home all the things that you might need to make a fruit salad and what you would need to do. Can you make a list of the things we will need to make our fruit salad? Can you talk about the instructions for making the fruit salad? What do you need to do first? What should you do next? What should you do after that? We will be talking through your ideas once we are back at school.

PSHE

In PSHE, we have been learning how to look after our bodies and our brain. One of the activities for this week would have been practising doing up and undoing fastenings on our clothes. Your child might like to practice this at home. Try fastening and unfastening shirt buttons with your child. You might find it easier to practise on a shirt or polo shirt that is not being worn to start with. It would also be useful for your child to practise how to rethread Velcro fastenings on their shoes (if they have them) and to practise zipping up or fastening their own coat. Let us know how you get on.

Please remember to take time to read with your child today. This could be their school reading book or another book that you have at home.
