Home Learning Day 5

Hello once more Lilac Class!

Today I would like you to complete the following activities:

1. Please finish all your work from yesterday.  Below is a reminder of what I set:  

On Thursdays I give out your Home Learning Book that is marked and has the new homework stuck in for you.  However, as we are not in school, this cannot be done for you.  I have attached your new homework for this week that needs to completed by Tuesday 9^th December. 

I have attached examples of Mayan Art.  Choose at least 2 examples and carefully draw them, looking at the shapes, patterns and themes.  If you have felt tip pens or coloured pencils, you can colour in your work.

Finally, please can you learn the lyrics from memory to ‘I can see clearly now’ by Johnny Nash.  This is going to be our individual item for the Tunbridge Wells Singing Festival.

2. I have set you some more revision on fractions and have attached a worksheet and an answer sheet entitled ‘Compare fractions less than1.’  Remember, only do what you can.  I am not expecting everyone to have completed both sheets. Please remember the following when comparing fractions:

When the denominators are the same, the greater the numerator, the greater the fraction

When the denominators are the same, the smaller the numerator, the smaller the fraction 

When the numerators are the same, the greater the denominator, the smaller the fraction

When the numerators are the same, the smaller the denominator, the greater the fraction

3. I have attached our Wider Curriculum Matrix for Term 1 and 2.  If you have finished everything I have set you, please choose one of the activities and complete it.  Superb examples that show outstanding achievement will be photographed and put onto our Lilac Class Blog!
