Ask: 'Why is it an equal number?'

- equal means the same amount

3. Find groups of objects up to 5 around your home

  • 3 socks
  • 5 spoons
  • 2 teddies

Can you count them, and then show an equal amount on your fingers?

Drawing club

Listen to the story 'The First Christmas'

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4SNcZIL10Os

Discuss questions:

  • Who do you see in the stable?
  • Why did the wise men follow the star?
  • What animals are in the story?

Drawing task: Can you draw the stables where baby Jesus was born? (return to video time 2.35 for ideas of how to draw the stable) Please include the characters from the story. Then write one initial sound to match something in the picture. For example:

  • s for stable
