Each week we are fortunate to have a ukulele lesson with Mr Lawrence.  This year, this will take place on a Monday afternoon.  Instruments are provided by the school.

Spelling and grammar –we will be practising words from the Year 3 and 4 statutory list.  We will also look at identifying fronted adverbials.

In English, we will be carrying on identifying important features of instructions.  We will be looking at sets of instructions linked to traditional tales, and we might even try Gingerbread man!

In Maths, we will begin a new unit on multiplication and division.  We will be looking at multiples of 3 and multiplying and dividing by 6 and 9.  Please keep practising times tables at home!

In RE, we will continue our unit on Incarnation and  we will be using our understanding of the distinct nature of John’s account of the Gospel to create a Christmas card.

In History, we are going to be finding out about Roman Innovations.

In Computing, the pupils will be looking at sound recording and editing.

PE is on Monday morning with Mrs Barter and on a Thursday afternoon with Mrs Tompsett.   This term we are going to be focusing on hockey and yoga.  Please note due to rehearsals these lessons might change.

Reading records will be sent home, with free-reading children choosing a book from the selection in class or bringing one from the reading scheme.  All children have an additional book in their tray for reading sessions in class.  Please could we have reading records in school to be checked on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.  

Homework will be issued this Wednesday and is due on the following Monday.
