This week in Maple Class:

English: this week, we will be continuing with the Holiday Brochure unit, undertaking some drama activities and looking at the sentence structures needed for persuasive writing.

Whole Class Reading: this week we will be reading The Gruffalo’s Child. The children will discuss the vocabulary and answer comprehension questions, both as a group, in pairs and independently.

Maths: This week we will continue focusing on adding and subtracting, crossing tens and hundreds.

Art: This week, we will be finishing the still life unit.

RE: This term, we are continuing the Incarnation unit and investigating the Trinity.

PE is on a Wednesday and Friday this term, and we will be continuing the netball unit this week. Please ensure your child has their full PE kit in school.

In addition, we will also be doing Science and Computing with Mrs Banner.

Homework will be issued on Tuesday as usual, and is due back next Monday. If you have any concerns about the homework, please email the Maple Class email or pop a note in the home learning book. Please try to read with the children and encourage them to put their reading records and homework books in the basket in the classroom.
