Our Sundial Experiment

In Lilac Class, we have used our knowledge of the Earth and the Sun as spherical spheres to conduct a sundial experiment.  We made a prediction and then explained our results in the form of a scientific conclusion and evaluation.  We used our knowledge of Heliocentric theory and the position of the Sun during the day to create our hypothesis. Our sundials proved to be very accurate and the shadow of the gnomon worked like the hour hand of an analogue clock.  We measured the time at 9, 10, 11 and 12 O’clock in the sunny part of our classroom.
